Top Ten Trevecca "Good News" Items, 2008-2009

 

President Boone presented this information at the Trevecca luncheon at General Assembly. You can use it to inform others about your university.

1. One of the three legs for positive financial performance is operational results. The 2008-2009 fiscal
    year appears to be one of the stronger financial years operationally in history.

2. Last year’s enrollment—2366—was an all-time high. Another record year is expected.

3. Trevecca is among the most affordable Christian universities in the nation: It has the lowest tuition
    among the Nazarene universities and is in the top 10% in affordability among all Christian
    universities in the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).

4. Trevecca is the only Nazarene University to earn “national research university” classification from the Carnegie
    Foundation and one of only five in the CCCU to have that classification. Trevecca meets the most rigorous standards
    in the USA for accreditation under SACS. Trevecca exceeds all other Nazarene schools in the number and variety of
    post-graduate programs, with master’s degrees in education, religion, counseling, marriage and family therapy,
    physician assistant, information science, and business and doctoral degrees in leadership and clinical counseling.


5. The Center for Worship Arts and the
J.V.MorschCenter for Social Justice open this fall.

6. The Bud Robinson Building is now the new home of the Center for Leadership, Calling, and Service,
    and the Nina Gunter Leadership Award has been established; the award will be presented annually
    to a female leader whose work reflects the character and spirit of Dr. Gunter.

7. A Welcome-Admissions Center is being created in the lower level of Waggoner Library.

8. Trevecca continues to be one of the top 3 safest universities in Tennessee.

9. Trevecca had its largest graduation class in its history in May—872.

10. Campus morale is strong and vibrant. Trevecca is focused on its mission, working hard, and thriving in a challenging economy.
