Alumni Email Access

TNU has partnered with Microsoft to offer our alumni a Microsoft hosted e-mail service called "Live@edu." This service will provide TNU alumni with a 10GB mailbox, allow up to 20MB attachments, along with various other useful features.

How do I get a Live@edu Alumni account?

Sign up by filling out the Email Request form. Accounts are created weekly (Wednesday) for requests received by Monday of the same week. Please contact the ITS HelpDesk at 615-248-1223 with any questions.

How do I access my account?

  1. To access your account, open your browser of choice and go to: https://www.outlook.com/tnualumni.trevecca.edu.

  2. Your login information will be sent to the e-mail address provided on the Alumni E-mail Account Request Form.

  3. If this is the first time you have signed in to your Live@edu account, you will be taken to the following screen to provide personal account information.

  4. Choose your language and time zone. Ensure you select the proper time zone! *NOTE: You may not get this screen until after Step 6!

  5. You will then be taken to the summary page. Here you can access e-mail, SkyDrive, Office Live and more. To see a list of features, please CLICK HERE.

  6. Click on Mail. You will be asked for:
    • Year of birth
    • Accept Agreement

    Offic Outlook Web Access will open.

How long can I keep my alumni account?

Indefinitely.

How do I forward my e-mail to a personal e-mail account?

Attention Google Chrome users: If you do not see the buttons as pictured below, please use Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari web browsers to setup the e-mail forward.

  1. Login to your Live@edu (username@tnualumni.trevecca.edu) e-mail account: http://Live.trevecca.edu

  2. In the top right, Click Options.

  3. On the far left sidebar, Click Organize E-mail.

  4. Click New…

  5. A new window will open. Change the 1st drop down box named "*When the message arrives, and:" to [Apply to all messages]. Change the 2nd drop down box named "*Do the following:" to Redirect the message to… This should open a new window.

  6. In the very bottom under Message Recipients, type your personal e-mail address. (Example: username@yahoo.com.) If this e-mail address does not exist in your Live@edu address book, then click OK one time to add it,and then click OK a second time to close the window.

  7. In the New Inbox Rule window, you will see your personal e-mail address to the right of the 2nd drop down box. Click Save in the bottom right to save the setting.

  8. Your TNU Live@edu e-mail has been successfully set to forward to your personal e-mail address.
