Instructions

Step 1

PRIOR to visiting the IT Academy site:

  • Students:
    • Go to http://live.trevecca.edu and sign in using your Live@edu account (i.e., ABStudent@mail.trevecca.edu)
    • Be sure you are not logged into another Windows Live account (Hotmail, MSN Messenger, Live.com, Passport, Xbox Live). If you are, sign out and sign in to your Live@edu account.
    • Skip to Step 2.
  • FSA:
    • Please contact the ITS HelpDesk at ext.1223, 248-1223, or HelpDesk@trevecca.edu and we will set up a Windows Live account for you using your @trevecca.edu e-mail address.
    • After receiving notification that your account is set up then proceed to Step 2

Step 2

Go to the Microsoft IT Academy site: http://ITAcademy.MicrosofteLearning.com

To access up to a group of 3 training courses for the first time, enter the Access Code sent to you via your TNU e-mail address OR one that is listed on the MyTNU page under the ITS page.

NOTE: To return to the same set of training courses in the future, you need only to click the Access Site button.

Step 3

Click Sign In to enter the Microsoft E-Learning site.

Step 4

  • Students: Sign in using your Live@edu account, (ABStudent@mail.trevecca.edu).
  • FSA: Sign in with your @trevecca.edu Windows Live account.

Step 5

After you Sign In, fill in the required information (denoted by *). You will only have to do this one time. Choose whether or not to allow Microsoft or their partners to contact you and then Click, Continue.

Step 6

You are now ready to begin your Microsoft IT Academy training courses. Before you begin, use the links in the left hand column to navigate and learn how to use the Microsoft IT Academy E-Learning courses. When you are ready, simply click on the blue link of the course you'd like to take.

Step 7

When you are finished, click the Sign Out button.

Step 8

The next time you go to Microsoft IT Academy, simply click Access Site and then sign in with your Live@edu or WIndows Live account to access your available courses.

Step 9

If you would like to take one or more additional courses (up to a maximum of 3 in a group):

  1. Download the course listing and select the courses you'd like to take.
  2. Send an e-mail to the ITS HelpDesk, HelpDesk@trevecca.edu with the name and number (e.g. 5264 - Core Training for Microsoft Project 2007, 5265 - Core Training for Microsoft Office Visio 2007, and 5268 - Core Training for Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007) of the courses you'd like to take.
  3. You will receive an e-mail with a new Access Code to enter for the new group of courses you seleced. Sign in to http://ITAcademy.MicrosofteLearning.com and enter the new Access Code.

Then you can simply Click Access Site for subsequest logons to those courses
