Frequently Asked Questions

How much free space do I have?

2 Methods:

Outlook Web App
In Outlook Web App, in the top right, click Options > See All Options. You'll see the space available under Mailbox Usage.

Moving Personal Folders (.PSTs) & Archived E-mail to Inbox

In Outlook, where you have your personal folders or archived e-mails, simply drag-and-drop the folders into your Inbox. Depending upon the quantity of e-mails, it may take a while because it must upload the e-mails to Microsoft. If you have too many subfolders to move, create 1 folder in your personal folder and move all your subfolders to that 1 folder. Then, drag-and-drop that one folder to your Inbox.

Why are e-mails getting blocked by the Spam Filter?

As Office 365 e-mails are external, all e-mails must pass through Microsoft's Spam Filter. This catches things such as SSN's, credit card numbers, and other forms of Confidential and Sensitive Information OR anything that fits the pattern of said sensitive data.

For information on how to login to your Microsoft Anti-Spam account, Click Here.

Why are e-mails getting sent to Junk E-Mail?

To move it to your Inbox and whitelist the e-mail address, perform the following:

  1. Right-click on the e-mail, go to Junk, then click Not Junk.
  2. Ensure the checkbox is selected. Then, click OK.

If you need to ensure all e-mail from sender's domain (@example.com) is not blocked, perform the following:

  1. Go to your Junk E-mail folder
  2. Right-click on the e-mail, go to Junk, then click Never Block Sender's Domain.

Rules

If you have a rule setup to automatically move an e-mail to a specific folder, edit the rule and specify the destination folder again. This should allow the rule to start working for any subsequent e-mails received. If this does not work, then recreate the rule.
