Student Email Access
TNU has partnered with Microsoft to offer our students a Microsoft hosted e-mail service called "Live@edu." This service will provide TNU students with a 10GB mailbox, allow up to 20MB attachments, along with various other useful features. For returning students, this will replace your current @trevecca.edu e-mail account.
How do I access my account?
*Important Notice for ALL New Students*
If you are a new student and have not logged into your TNU network account, you must login to Citrix, a computer lab, or a library PC and reset your default password. Please CLICK HERE to go to Citrix. Type your default password, and you will be prompted to change your password. For information on changing your default password, please see "How to change my default password."

To access your account:
The following link will open a new browser window (or tab). Please click here: Live.trevecca.edu and choose Sign In. -
Enter your logon information:
Username
Your Live@edu logon name will be the same as your TNU student (Citrix) network logon. Typically, this is: First Initial + Middle Initial + Last Name followed by @mail.trevecca.eduExample: username@mail.trevecca.edu
Password
Current Students: Your Live@edu password is your current TNU (Citrix) network account password.New Students: You must change your initial TNU (Citrix) network account password BEFORE logging into Live.trevecca.edu. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR Live@edu PASSWORD WITHIN THE Live@edu APPLICATION!

If this is the first time you have signed in to your Live@edu account, you will be taken to the following screen to provide personal account information.

You will then be taken to the summary page. Here you can access e-mail, SkyDrive, Office Live and more. To see a list of features, please CLICK HERE.

Click on Mail.

Choose your Country and enter your Birth year.

Choose your language and time zone. Ensure you select the proper time zone!

Office Outlook Web Access opens and you are ready to use your TNU e-mail account.
How to change my default password?
After becoming fully registered students, which includes submitting all required paperwork and fulfilling all financial obligations, ITS will create unique network and e-mail accounts for each student. Please note that this process may take 24-48 hours.
Your network username will comprise your first initial, middle initial and last name. For example, if your name is David M. Smith, your network username will be dmsmith. If you do not have a second name or initial, your network username will comprise your first initial and last name. We will resolve duplicate name conflicts by dropping a middle initial (if one exists) or by adding a numeral at the back of the user name. For example, in the case of a conflict for Donna M. Smith, her network username will be dsmith, or dmsmith1 (if dsmith is already taken).
Your initial network password will be 10 digits long; comprising the last 4 digits of your SSN followed by the last 6 digits of your student ID number. If you do not have an official social security number, please contact the ITS HelpDesk for assistance.
You have two ways to change your default TNU network account password:
Off Campus via Citrix
Citrix will allow you to change your default TNU network account password off campus. Go here: http://lester.trevecca.edu and enter your username and password. It will prompt you to change your password.
On Campus via Computer Labs or Library
Computer labs and the sitdown computers in the library allow direct access to the TNU network. Enter your username and password. It will prompt you to change your password.
Please use the following criteria to create your new password:
- Your new password must be at least 7 characters
- Your new password must contain both letters and numbers
- At least one letter you use must be upper case (more if you desire)
- Your new password can not be the same as your previous 4 passwords
- You will be required to change your network password once every 90 days
Can I forward my e-mail to a personal e-mail account?
If you have NEVER logged into your TNU Live@edu (username@mail.trevecca.edu) e-mail account, please click on "How to access my account."
If you have previously logged into your TNU Live@edu e-mail, *Proceed to Step 1*
E-mail Forward Instructions:

Login to your Live@edu (username@mail.trevecca.edu) e-mail account: http://Live.trevecca.edu

In the top right, Click Options.

On the far left sidebar, Click Organize E-mail.

Click New…
-
A new window will open.
Change the 1st drop down box named "*When the message arrives, and:" to [Apply to all messages]. Change the 2nd drop down box named "*Do the following:" to Redirect the message to…This should open a new window. -
In the very bottom under Message Recipients, type your personal e-mail address. (Example: username@yahoo.com.) If this e-mail address does not exist in your Live@edu address book, then click OK one time to add it,and then click OK a second time to close the window.

In the New Inbox Rule window, you will see your personal e-mail address to the right of the 2nd drop down box. Click Save in the bottom right to save the setting.

Your TNU Live@edu e-mail has been successfully set to forward to your personal e-mail address. Please be aware that a copy of your e-mails will still remain in your Live@edu e-mail account's inbox.
NOTE: If you are forwarding to a work e-mail account and you do not receive e-mails from your Live@edu e-mail account, please contact your employer's IT Department prior to contacting TNU for assistance.
