In this role, you’ll be working closely with University faculty to bring their teaching ideas to life in an online environment.  You’ll provide leadership for online teaching and for the use of instructional technology in the classroom.


You’ll have an opportunity to be part of a Christian organization that improves individual lives, families, and communities across Middle-Tennessee.  You’ll also have the opportunity to influence the development and direction of the new online team at the University.


Expected Job Outcomes

  • Demonstrate thought-leadership by developing and successfully implementing innovative solutions to identified needs in online, blended, and classroom education
  • Demonstrate political effectiveness by earning buy-in from stakeholders, especially the faculty, deans, and program directors
  • Collaboratively develop courses in the Sakai LMS that are completed on time and with the highest quality
  • Develop an intuitive, engaging user experience in all courses and programs


Minimal Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or certification in instructional design
  • Experience with systems used for online education
  • Experience supporting instructors and learners in an academic environment
  • Ability to create positive relationships with diverse University stakeholders across multiple fields and disciplines
  • Commitment to the mission of Trevecca Nazarene University


Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in curriculum and instructional design
  • Three years of experience working with a Sakai LMS
  • Minimum of three years of experience developing courses and curriculum
  • Experience with online education and adult learning
  • Knowledge of various learning theories and learning styles
    • Proficiency in HTML, graphic design, and/or mobile app development
    • Demonstrated ability to work across an organization with highly diverse stakeholders to accomplish strategic objectives.
