Selecting InfoTrac from the top of the page opens a list of databases. Choose from this list, select a database from within a subject specific area, or by name. InfoTrac databases are usually indentified by the product name of Gale. ![]() OFF CAMPUS LOGIN
Follow these instructions making special note of the barcode number combination. ![]() BASIC SEARCH
Enter the search term(s) in the box. You may choose to search by subject, keyword, or in the entire document. ![]() ADVANCED SEARCH
This search allows you to choose numerous search terms as well as select different fields when you click the drop boxes. Boolean operators (and, or and not), full text, date ranges and peer-reviewed are other limiting options. ![]() RESULTS PAGE
Options on the results page include Tabs across the top to sort by Academic Journals, Magazines, Books, News and Multimedia. You may also choose to sort the results by publication date or relevance. ![]() VIEW YOUR RESULTS
The articles retrieved will have various viewing options: Text, PDF, Citation, and (or) Abstract. Select the desired link to open and print the document. WebBridge may be helpful in locating the full text from other sources when only an Abstract or Citation is available in the current database. Using WebBridge ![]() MARKING RESULTS
You can create a list of selected articles by clicking in the check boxes. You can view these by selecting Marked List. Marked List options include emailing the documents, printing, and help with citation formatting. Your list is erased when you log out of InfoTrac. |
