CourseworkDid you know . . . MHR CurriculumThe 57-week MHR track consists of 10 five-, six-, and seven-week modules and an applied research project. The course work is interdisciplinary and human-science based. Areas of emphasis include leadership, management theory, interpersonal relations, conflict management, human resources management, and organizational and group behavior. Courses in biblical perspectives and values complement the management curriculum and fulfill Trevecca's mission of integrating faith and learning. All courses are taught from a Christian worldview.
B.S. in Management Information SystemsIn addition to the 36 hours of coursework in the MHR major, students also have the option to earn a degree in management information systems. The student must have earned an associate of (applied) science degree from Nashville State Community College with either a major in computer information systems or computer networking technology. (Students with similar degrees from other institutions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis). All other admissions requirements are the same.
Each students' project thesis in the 13-month MHR Program must be in the area of information systems and technology. Students must also take these three additional modules: The Systems Development Process; Information Technology Project Management; and Managing Computer-Based Information Technology. In the end, the degree earned will be a B.S. in management information systems. ElectivesThe MHR Program offers elective modules on a regular basis (at least once a year) for students who need additional traditional credit and for MHR special students. All classes meet from 6:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. on the campus of Trevecca Nazarene University. |
