MHR 3400      The System Development Process
3 credit hours

This course focuses on the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for building or improving an information management system.  The SDLC begins with an idea for a new system, or the improvement of an existing one and progresses through the development of an end product (software and/or hardware) that is implemented within an organization.  Various SDLC methodologies used within industry will be examined.  This course is a pre-requisite to the project management course.

MHR 3500 Information Technology Project Management
3 credit hours

This survey course provides the student with a comprehensive overview of the components and tenets that are used in managing a project.  Micorsoft Project ManagerTM will be used extensively throughout the course.
MHR 3600 Managing Computer-Based Information Technology
3 credit hours

This capstone course focuses on the many managerial and technical problems confronting the management of information technology resources.  It is designed to equip the manager with an understanding of strategic, tactical and operational planning as they relate to IT.  Case studies, role playing and a major project equip the learner to develop his/her own philosophy of IT management.

The cost of the above MIS modules will be the same as the current MHR module tuition rate.
