A prepared piece is not required to audition for one of the choral groups.
If you are auditioning for an instrumental ensemble, please prepare one 30-second excerpt of a lyrical passage and one 30-second excerpt of a technical passage.
If you are interested in Jazz Ensemble, please prepare an additional 30-second excerpt of a swing tune.
If interested in auditioning for Musical Theatre Ensemble or Opera Workshop, please have 1 show tune (MTE) or aria (OW) prepared to sing to demonstrate vocal ability, characterization, stage presence, and/or movement.

Ensembles are open to all students regardless of major. The Madrigalians is not open to first-time freshmen, however there are a limited amount of openings for male singers if you are a transfer.
