103rd year of Trevecca history begins

Trevecca Nazarene University is gearing up for the beginning of its 103rd year. The campus staff is preparing to welcome students back for the 2003-2004 school year. Athletes who participate in fall sports are already on campus, practicing for the new season. Freshmen will move in on Friday, August 22, and will register for classes on Saturday, August 23. Upperclassmen register on Monday, August 25, and classes will begin on Tuesday, August 26. In the meantime, President Reed will convene the campus community on Monday evening, August 18, for the annual Presidentís Dinner, the event that officially begins the new school year for employees of the University. A highlight of that event is the announcement of the winners of special awardsóFaculty Member of the Year, Administrator of the Year, and Staff Person of the Year. New members of the University family will be introduced, also. The remainder of the week will be spent making final arrangements for the new school year to begin. New faculty will participate in orientation sessions. Returning faculty will meet in divisions and departments in order to prepare for the start of classes. Administrators and staff will make sure that facilities are in a state of readiness for the arrival of students.
