The Office of Enrollment Management held its first Inside Trevecca Day when it invited home-schooled students to visit the campus on September 19, 2003. Families from as far away as Aiken, SC, and as close as LaVergne, TN , attended.
The day began with President Millard Reed's telling the group about Trevecca's history. Other sessions included a financial aid presentation; campus tour; lunch in the cafeteria; class visitations; and presentatoins from the Office of Academic Support, the School of Business's Institute of Computer Information Technology, the School of Education, and the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Among the highlights of the day were presentations by Linda Harrision, a mother who homeschooled and now has two children attending Trevecca, and two TNU freshmen who were home-schooled, Katie Short and Katie Humerickhouse. All three gave their personal stories and were available to answer questions from first-hand experience.
