Theologian to speak for Faculty Development Workshop

The Faculty Development Workshop for fall 2003 will feature the Reverend Dr. Susie C. Stanley, professor of historical theology at Messiah College. Dr. Stanley, who earned degrees from Towson State University and Iliff School of Theology/University of Denver, specializes in19th- and 20th-century American theology, the Wesleyan holiness movement, social holiness, and women in ministry. Dr. Stanley, a participant in the "Come to the Water" Conference, is well known for her mentoring program for women. On Monday, October 6, Dr. Stanley will be on campus for several events. At 10:30 A.M. she will address faculty and administration in the Faculty Development Workshop. From noon to 1:30 P.M. she will signing her book Holy Boldness: Women Preachers' Autobiographies and the Sanctified Self in the rotunda of Waggoner Library. This event is jointly sponsored by the School of Religion, Women's Studies, and the Faculty Development Committee. (9/30/2003)
