On Friday, October 10, 2003, President Millard Reed cut the ribbon, officially opening Trevecca's new cable television station. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was preceded by a dedication ceremony which recognized the contributions of persons who worked to make the station possible. Professor Gary Farmer, developer and manager of the new station, thanked Jimmy Patterson, Greg Johnson, and Brian Parker for their assistance in the development of the station.
Housed on the ground floor of the Waggoner Library, the new station will begin operations by producing news and information programming for the campus. The facilities will also permit the University to create and produce videos in house.
An open-house will be held on Friday, October 17, 2003, from 3 to 5 P.M. for those persons who would like to see the station in operation.
