Adjunct faculty member to receive award from President Bush

Greg Patterson, adjunct professor and principal of Dodson Elementary School in the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, will travel to Washington, D. C., on November 7 to receive the National Distinguished Principal Award. Patterson will be honored at a ceremony at the White House where President George W. Bush will present Patterson's award. A native of Tennessee, Patterson has worked for more than twenty-five years in public education. Before becoming an assistant principal and then later a principal, he taught students in kindergarten through the sixth grade. Trevecca congratulates Patterson for this accomplishment, and the University is pleased that he shares his expertise with Trevecca's education students. (10/30/03)
