Greg Patterson, adjunct professor and principal of Dodson Elementary School in the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, will travel to Washington, D. C., on November 7 to receive the National Distinguished Principal Award. Patterson will be honored at a ceremony at the White House where President George W. Bush will present Patterson's award.
A native of Tennessee, Patterson has worked for more than twenty-five years in public education. Before becoming an assistant principal and then later a principal, he taught students in kindergarten through the sixth grade.
Trevecca congratulates Patterson for this accomplishment, and the University is pleased that he shares his expertise with Trevecca's education students.
