One of the many international ministries that Trevecca supports and in which students may be participants is Treveccans around the Globe, more commonly referred to as the TAG Team. Sponsored by Jo Ann Blevins, the University nurse, the ministry enables its team members to experience God in another culture. For many students, this confirms a call to full-time Christian service, ministry, or missions.
The TAG team will minister and serve in Florence, Italy, May 10-19, 2004. On this trip participants will complete the renovation of an indoor area for Sunday school, will install outdoor landscaping, and will lay pipes. Additionally, they will conduct ìprayer walksî through neighborhoods and will conduct events with young people in the community.
Co-sponsors of the trip are Jennifer Wyatt, resident director of Johnson Hall womenís dormitory, and Tim Green, University chaplain. Blevins is enthusiastic about the response from students and the opportunity to minister. She says, ìItís exciting to hear from students later who have decided to minister in another area of the world. For many of those students, that first glimpse of this call on their lives came during a TAG trip. I love the opportunity to share this vision for missions with students.î
