Missions Club elects officers

Treveccaís Mission Club has elected new officers: Karen Berger and Rick Childress will serve as co-presidents; Matt Fields, as vice president; Carmen Wilson as the secretary: and Kim Friesen as the treasurer. The faculty sponsor is Professor Mary Ann Meiners. Club leaders report that the 2003-2004 school year was a positive one for the Missions Club because of the hard work of faithful members and the success of ministry opportunities. The clubís purpose is to live out the calling to the Great Commission in Matthew 28. They accomplish this goal by encouraging students to participate in mission opportunities associated with groups such as Youth in Mission and Treveccans around the Globe (TAG Team), to reach out to the local community in ways that other ministry clubs do not, and to give students space to think through a call to the mission field. The club is open to all students regardless of their majors or intended career paths. The officers say that the new school year will bring new ministry opportunities as the club continues its traditional programs/services.
