President Reed greeted by alumna at local press conference
The press conference was called by President Warren Nichols of Vol State Community College for the purpose of announcing the re-opening of his school's University Center, a cooperative effort with four other universities for the purpose of helping graduates of Vol State complete a bachelor's degree. In addition to President Reed, chief administrators or their representatives from two of the other schools who offer programs at Vol State attended and made remarks for their respective schools--Austin Peay and Tennessee Technological University. Tennessee State University also offers bachelor's level classes at Vol State.
In his remarks to the group, President Reed called Ann to the podium as an example of the graduates of the MHR Program, and Dr. Reed, Ann, and VSCC President Warren Nichols were photographed together. Trevecca has offered its MHR Program at VSCC since 1999.
