Cheerleading clinic to be offered

Girls who want to learn about cheerleading will have that opportunity this fall when Trevecca's cheerleading coach and the Trevecca cheerleaders conduct a clinic at Trevecca. Julie Conley, head coach of the Trevecca cheerleaders and a former NFL cheerleader, has announced a cheerleading clinic to be held on three Saturdays this fall--October 2, 16, and 23.

All girls aged 4 to 17 are invited to participate in this training experience. They will be grouped by ages, and they will learn the essentials of cheerleading--basic stunting and tumbling techniques, correct motion drills and stretching, cheers, and choreographed routines. They will also learn important lessons about leadership and teamwork. The girls will demonstrate what they have learned when they perform during the Trevecca men's basketball game on Nov. 16.

The three-day training clinic costs $95.00 (participants are responsible to bring their own lunches). Certified trainers will assist in the clinic. If you know a girl who would like to learn more about cheerleading, please contact Julie Conley at 615-771-2545 or at <>.
