Student newspaper sponsors voter registration drive

Treveccaís student newspaper, the TrevEchoes, is sponsoring a voter registration drive on campus. Anyone who is of voting age can complete the necessary voter registration form in Jernigan Lobby during lunch and dinner meal times. The drive began September 8, and one day later eighty people had registered.

This drive will continue until October 2, the deadline to register. The newspaper staff is also giving students information about how to complete an absentee ballots if they wish to vote from their home states.

TrevEchoes editor Eric Johnson says, ìOur goal is to get 250 students registered and to make sure that at least 500 people vote on election day--either at the polls at Trevecca Towers or via absentee ballot.
