Two with School of Education ties honored

Two persons with ties to the Trevecca School of Education have been recognized for their accomplishments in  their profession.

Tina King was named the FOX-17 Top Teacher for the week of September 19, 2004. King, who earned the M.Ed. at Trevecca, teaches science at West Elementary School in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. She enjoys teaching Earth Science and taking students on a "geo-dig." About her teaching experiences, she says, "The students make teaching memorable to me. It 's a joy to see them grown and change during the course of a year. I love to see their minds working."
 
Greg Patterson, the former principal of Dodson Elementary School in Hermitage, Tennessee, has been tapped to be the executive tier director for pre-K schools in the Metro Nashville Public School System. In 2003 Patterson was named National Distinguished Principal in ceremonies at the White House. Patterson has also served as an adjunct professor in the Trevecca School of Education.
