When the curtain rises on Treveccaís first major drama production of the new school year, audiences will be entertained by Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat.
The cast and crew of 40+ Trevecca students and alumni invite everyone
to join them in Benson Auditorium for
the story of Joseph as he winds his way in and out of trials and
hardships. Under the direction of Jeffrey Frame and the assistance of
sophomore Savannah Tate, senior Cyndi Headrick, and alumni Shreyas
Patel and David Patrick, the familiar Old Testament journey of Joseph
is re-told with contagiously memorable musical numbers and
choreography. In the process the story shows Joseph's gradual influence
on his eleven brothers, Potiphar, and Pharoah by teaching
the meaning of forgiveness, grace, and unconditional love.
As advertised in the fall 2004 issue of the Treveccan, this is ìthe
very first musical sensation from Andrew Lloyd Webber, creator of
Broadwayís award-winning Phantom of the Opera and Cats, and from Tim
Rice, lyricist for Disneyís The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast.
