Trevecca senior appears in local opera

Andy Forsythe, senior music business/vocal performance major from Wildwood, Georgia, will sing in "Amahl and the Night Visitors" when it is presented November 4-7, 2005, at Harpeth High School in Kingston Springs, Tennessee.  Forsythe will perform as Melchiorr, one of the three kings in this production by the Cheatham County Community Theater.

This role is not Forsythe's first role in an opera. He has sung in other opera productions in both Nashville and Knoxville. He sings in the Madrigalians, a musical ensemble at Trevecca, and he is a section leader in the choir at First Lutheran Church in Nashviille.

Following his graduation in May 2005, Forsythe would like to do graduate work in opera. While a career in opera is certainly a possibility, Forsythe also has an interest in a ministry career--perhaps in missions.

Fosythe is the son of Chuck and Melanie Forsythe and is a graduate of Dade County High School.
