Treveccans in "A Night of Allelulias"

When the melodies of "A Night of Alleluias" filled Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday night, December 2, the Christmas season was ushered into the minds and hearts of those present. The stage of Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium was filled with the 300+ choir members from five Churches of the Nazarene and Trevecca Nazarene University's Covenant Choir. Churches whose choirs participated included Trevecca Community, Hermitage, Goodlettsville, Gallatin, and Whispering Hills. These groups were joined by Joyce Martin, featured soloist, the drum corps from Davidson Academy, and other soloists.

"A Night of Allelulias," a new Christmas cantata was written by Dave Clark, a member of the Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene, with a narration written by Tim Green, chaplain of Trevecca Nazarene University. Bob Broadbooks, superintendent of the Tennessee District Church of the Nazarene, served as the narrator.

Churches of the Nazarene in the Nashville area dismissed their Wednesday night services so that their congregations could attend.  This event was the first to come from a new organization composed of Nazarene worship/music leaders in the Nashville area. Leaders of the this group anticipate similar events in the future.
