Trustees seek input from campus community for presidential search
Bob Broadbooks (far right) and Larry Dennis (beside Broadbooks), vice chair and chair (respectively) of the Trevecca Board of Trustees, met with six representatives of campus groups on Dec. 2.On Wednesday, December 1, Larry Dennis, chair of the Trevecca Board of
Trustees and the superintendent of the Central Florida District Church
of the Nazarene, and Bob Broadbooks, vice chair of the board and the
superintendent of the Tennessee District Church of the Nazarene, met
with representatives of the students, adminstration-staff, and faculty
in order to allow these representatives to have a part in the
presidential search. Specifically Dennis and Broadbooks wanted to make
sure that the concerns or values of these groups were included in the
dialogues that are part of the search process.
The representatives who participated in the luncheon/meeting included
the following: Lena Welch and Dean Blevins, faculty; Chuck Seaman and
Joyce Snodgrass, adminstration and staff; and Jonathan Moore and Emily
Baggett, students.
Participants reported that meeting with these trustees had been an informative and meaningful experience.
The Trevecca Board of Trustees has requested that members of the
extended Trevecca family make the presidential search a matter of
prayer for the next four months. The board will meet in March to elect
the president.
