Immunology students visit HIV researcher

During this last week of class, students in Professor Chris Farrell's Immunology class will take a field trip to visit Dr. Paul Spearman and the HIV Vaccine Study Program at Vanderbilt University. This program, one of only twelve in the world, focuses on finding a cure for HIV by developing a vaccine for preventing AIDS.

For the students in this class, some of whom want to go into medicine as a career, this visit will allow them to see a cutting-edge research program and will allow them to talk with the doctor who is leading that study.
