Plans announced for Faculty Development Retreat

The Second Annual Faculty Development Retreat for members of the Trevecca faculty will be held February 11 and 12 at the Scarritt-Bennett Center in Nashville. The theme of this event will be "Integrating Your Faith from a Wesleyan Perspective into the Classroom." The featured speaker will be Brad Strawn, associate professor of psychology at Point Loma Nazarene University.

Dr. Strawn teaches clinical psychology and is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice. A published author and a frequent presenter at national conferences, he earned an M.A. in theology and a Ph.D. in psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. One of his areas of expertise is the integration of Christian faith and psychology. He is a charter member and past president of the Society for the Study of Psychology and Wesleyan Theology.

This annual retreat is a time for faculty members to explore issues/practices related to teaching. It is sponsored by the Faculty Development Committee of Trevecca Nazarene University.
