Spring drama production to begin Thursday
Cyndi Headrick, a senior dramatic arts and interpersonal communications major, is the director and choreographer for this production. She chose this play for its catchy songs and broad appeal for all ages. She wanted to direct this play because she viewed it as an effective vehicle to use in her efforts to develop her talents in the dramatic arts to enhance the Kingdom of God. The concept for the production is taken from the book of Matthew and the incident in which Jesus told the disciples to let the little children come to him because the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as them.
Headrick has been acting for more than thirteen years. In addition to her work in University dramatic productions, she is also involved in community theatre projects at the Arts Center of Cannon County. She is a native to La Vergne, Tennessee, and is the daughter of Steve and Becky Headrick.
Performances of School House Rock, LIVE! will begin at 7:00 P.M. in Benson Auditorium. Admission is $7.00 in advance and $8.00 at the door.
