Colleagues, faculty, staff, administrators, and students celebrated with the authors by reviewing the works and mingling with one another. The authors agreed that it is important to publish works in order to remain knowledgeable about changes and advancements in their field of work and study and to share their knowledge with others in their field.
ìThere is a great sense of accomplishment in having your work well-received and in contributing to your profession. Publishing keeps me professionally active, engaged in the issues, concerns, and developments in my profession,î says Ruth Kinnersley, director of Waggoner Library.
Ruth Reynard, director for Treveccaís Center of Instructional Technology, adds, ìFaculty are always looking for feedback from peers about their work and writings. All of this can be accomplished through publication. With Internet technology, communication and collaboration becomes immediate and global.î
Kinnersley and Reynard were just two of the twenty-one authors to publish this year. To review the list of all authors and their works, click here.
