6,000 join to celebrate with 826 graduates

Trevecca welcomed 826 graduates on Saturday, May 7, to McClurkan Quad for the 104th Commencement ceremonies. This is the largest graduating class in Treveccaís history. More than 6,000 guests gathered on campus in support and celebration of the graduates.
President Reed performed the commencement address. Emily Baggett of the undergraduate senior class, Jim Carroll of MHR, and Barbara Cannon of the graduate students, all responded to the presidentís challenge. Faculty marshals were Mary Ann Meiners and David Deese; student marshals were Ryan Arnett, Jonathan Moore, and Lindsay Gunter.
   The Baccalaureate Service was held on Friday night, May 6, at Nashville First Church of the Nazarene. President-elect Dan Boone was the speaker. Following that service the University hosted a reception for the Board of Trustees, graduates, and their families and guests.
