Trevecca Nazarene University

Avatar Brass in concert

The Avatar Brass will be in concert at Trevecca Nazarene University on Friday, November 18, at 7:00 P.M. They are brought to Nashville by the Cultural Arts Series of Trevecca. They will be performing selections from Gershwin and the Big Band era. They will be in concert in Wakefield Auditorium on the University campus.

Avatar is taken from the Greek and means "one setting the standard." This seems to be an apt description for this group as evidenced by the recent declaration of the Miami Herald that Avatar Brass is "one of America's finest chamber ensembles."

Avatar Brass is the quintet-in-residence at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.

The event is free and open to the public. The campus is located at 333 Murfreesboro Road in Nashville. For further information please call 615-248-1288.
