Trevecca students use spring break to participate in conference on Israel

Three Trevecca students devoted part of their spring break to learning about Israel at a conference in Washington, D.C. Making this trip are the following members of Trevecca's Student Government Assembly: Danielle Queener, a sophomore from Spring Hill, TN; Jonathan Moore, a senior from Lake Worth, FL; and Nathaniel Lindsley, a sophomore from Nashville, TN.

Invited as guests of the sponsoring organization, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the students spent March 3-5 in Washington and attended the sessions of the conference, held at the Washington Convention Center. At the conference students  listened to internationally known speakers--Vice President Dick Cheney, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton, Sens. Evan Bayh (D-IN) and Susan Collins (R-ME), and all three Israeli prime ministerial candidates.

The Trevecca students were excited to be given this opportunity to learn more about Israel and the Middle East. They reported that they were honored to be able to listen to the guest speakers and to be part of this conference.
