The consortium will allow for students of Trevecca, Belmont, Volunteer State Community College, and Nashville State Community College to take nursing classes in the Gordan E. Inman facility as well as their respective schools.

HCA's TriStar Health System, a $7.5 million facility donor, gave in support of the consortium, whose intension is to assist in preparing for and easing the expected shortage of nurses in the state of Tennessee.

The facility will include state of the art equipment, including $150,000 worth of mannequins and $25,000 in donated lift equipment, which will prepare and train students in patient safety.
