The Trevecca Symphony Orchestra is set to perform in a European concert tour July 12-23, with support from the Division of Music of Trevecca Nazarene University and Sister Cities Committee of Nashville. Members and friends of the orchestra, will travel to cities in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic. One of the highlights of the tour will be a performance, by invitation, in Magdeburg, Germany, Nashville’s Sister City.
In conjunction with the tour, the orchestra will be featured in a home concert, Monday, July 10, 7:30 p.m. at the Assumption Catholic Church in Germantown. The program will consist of works by Copland, Barber, Respighi, Vaughan Williams, J.S. Bach, Mozart and others. The recital is open to the public and a $5.00 donation/admission is requested. The historic Assumption Catholic Church is located at 1227 7th Ave. near Bicentennial Mall.
