Boone to speak at Christianity and environment forum

University President Dan Boone is set to speak in the Nashville Forum on Christianity and the Environment to be held Saturday, September 30, at Scarritt-Bennett Center.

The forum will provide a setting for Christian leaders within the Nashville community to share ideas, information, and resources on topics related to environmental stewardship.

Besides Boone, other speakers at the event will include Lee Camp, professor at David Lipscomb University and author of Mere Discipleship; Lyndsay Mosley, Sierra Club Representative for Faith Partnerships; and Jena Lea, Executive Director of Blood: Water Mission. They will speak on topics including

Environment and Christian Discipleship
Poverty, Racism, and the Environment
The Bible and Water Management
Environmental Stewardship in a Left-Behind World
Christian Vocation and Sustainable Farming
International Missions and Environmental Issues
Christian Environmental Activism

This free event for registered guests will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., Saturday, September 30, at Scarritt-Bennett Center’s Foundren Hall. The event is sponsored by the Ecology and Spirituality Project of Vanderbilt University’s Center for the Study of Religion and Culture.
