Trevecca students to provide disaster relief over fall break
The goal of the team is to act in accordance with Trevecca's mission- providing education for leadership and service - by continuing with the clean-up and reconstruction caused by Hurricane Katrina. They will work with Nazarene Disaster Response and the Alabama South District of the Church of the Nazarene to help with home reconstruction and food and clothing distribution to those in the area. In addition to providing several full days of work, the group will put together a community outreach project planned for Monday evening. Grand Bay Church of the Nazarene in Bayou LaBatre will provide housing for the group during this time.
They will be leaving for the trip at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 6. The University will hold a short send-off service prior to their departure.
