Peggy Carpenter has been appointed the director of the Student Success Center. Carpenter has been with Trevecca since 1992, serving for a number of years as the assistant director for student services in the MHR Program and since 2000 as the director of the University’s Academic Support Services Center.
“As a result of these experiences, she comes to this new role uniquely qualified to direct the programs of the Student Success Center,” said Provost and Chief Academic Officer Steve Pusey.
A Student Success Task Force has also been appointed that will assist the University in initial planning efforts for the student success initiative. The task force includes the following persons: Peggy Carpenter (chair), Phyllis Flannery, Steve Harris, Peter Wilson, Jan Harvey, Tim Green, Chuck Seaman, and Becky Niece. The task force, a key group that will help set the future direction for the success initiative, will be meeting throughout the remainder of this academic year. It will also function as the Building Program Committee for the renovation of Bud Robinson as the Student Success Center.
