Amy Murphy
Coordinator of Student Disability Services

Five years ago, Amy Murphy came to Trevecca to study ministry and found herself filling a need of the University as Coordinator of Student Disability Services.

Murphy’s former career and experience centered around her work with at-risk students in alternative and special education classes, despite her undergraduate work that prepared her to teach high school English.

Murphy never made it to the traditional public school classroom and still finds herself serving students in a unique way. She currently serves in Trevecca’s Academic Support Center, located in Waggoner Library. There she works with all students—not just those with disabilities—and helps them as they adjust to the demands of college life and study.

“I find it rewarding to watch students discover their gifts and talents and solidify their goals,” said Murphy.
