Stewardship of the Earth Day

Nationally known environmentalist Jim Ball will speak at Trevecca’s second annual Stewardship of the Earth Day April 10, 2007, and will focus on the theme of “The Risen Lord and Global Warming.”

The Reverend Jim Ball, Ph.D., an ordained Baptist minister, is President and CEO of the Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN), publisher of Creation Care magazine, and national spokesperson for the Evangelical Climate Initiative.

Time magazine named him one of its five climate change “innovators” in its April 3, 2006, edition. In 2005 Rolling Stone magazine named Ball one of its 25 environmental “Warriors and Heroes.” Rev. Ball has appeared live on ABC’s Good Morning America; CNN’s American Morning, Crossfire, and Headline News; and Fox News’ The Big Story and Fox and Friends. Ball has also been featured on ABC’s World News Tonight and PBS’s NOW Show with Bill Moyers.

Ball will provide the message for a 10:30 A.M. Stewardship of the Earth Day chapel service to be held at Trevecca Community Church of the Nazarene, which is adjacent to the campus entrance.
