Trevecca @ the Bluebird

Trevecca professor of songwriting Kim McLean welcomes the audience to Trevecca at the Bluebird.
Kim Mclean, songwriting professor, hosted Trevecca at the Bluebird Café Tuesday, May 1, and introduced eight student songwriters to a Nashville landmark and showcase for new musicians.

The students performed 2 sets “in the round,” a bluebird tradition, which featured four songwriters at a time, sharing songs and inspiration. Student performers included Dorinda Biggs, Samantha Yangmi, Mike Kurtz, Mindy Edlin, Lori Triplett, Mark Sloan, Stephanie SanHamel, and David Bell.

Senior student Lori Triplett performs in front of her peers, professors, and music industry professionals at Trevecca at the Bluebird, held Tuesday, May 1.

The Bluebird Café is recognized around the world for presenting original country and acoustic music seven nights a week. Audiences come to hear and discover up-and-coming writers looking into breaking into the music business.

Music by the student songwriters is available on CD through Hippie Chick Twang Media. For more information about our songwriters or to obtain a copy of the CD, contact Hippie Chick Twang Media at 615-244-4422 or email
