Trevecca welcomes teens at Nazarene Youth Congress

Participants at NYC enjoy the music of Trevecca's EverPraise at the University's "Music City Roadhouse."
When more than 9,000 high school students gathered this week in St. Louis, MO, for the denomination's Nazarene Youth Congress (NYC), Trevecca was there to welcome the participants. At the University's "Music City Roadhouse" booth, participants could talk to current Trevecca students, learn more about Trevecca, hear music from Trevecca PR groups, and mingle with their friends. The University has gifts for NYC-ers, including t-shirts that sport the "Trevecca Football--Undefeated since 1901" message. In addition to the student representatives, Trevecca is also represented by President Dan Boone and administrators Sam Green, Peggy Cooning, Rick Underwood, David Patrick, and Elizabeth Streight.

This event, held every four years, began yesterday and ends on Sunday, July 15, is being held in the America's Center and the Edward Jones Dome. Participants will be engaged in events that are designed to foster spiritual and intellectual growth and the formation of new friendships. NYC offers participants recreation, worship, workshops on living the Christian life, and concerts. Additionally, participants will help in the "Feeding of the Five Thousand," an event that will feed for one week 5,000 persons in St. Louis.
