Alumna and former faculty member dies

Adrienne Hollins Phillips, a 1942 graduate of Trevecca and a former member of the Trevecca faculty, died this morning in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, where she had lived in recent years. Mrs. Phillips taught English courses and French language courses at Trevecca, from 1940 to 1943 and then from 1949 to 1981.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Koy Phillips, who also had taught at Trevecca and had served in the school's administration. They had two daughters--Ellen Phillips Bustle, of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and Kathleen Phillips, of Nashville, Tennessee.

The funeral for Mrs. Phillips will be held on Saturday, July 21, at 11:00 A.M., at First Church of the Nazarene in Nashville. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at First Church of the Nazarene, 510 Woodland Street.
