Lady Trojans basketball team honored for their grades

The announcement of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) 2006-2007 Academic Top-25 Team Honor Roll for NAIA schools places Trevecca 22nd. This listing recognizes NAIA teams that had the highest grade point averages (GPA) for the 2006-2007 season based upon nominations submitted by WBCA-member coaches.

Since the WBCA started the Top-25 Academic list ten years ago, Trevecca has appeared on the list five times. The Lady Trojans’ highest ranking, #11, occurred in the 2000-2001 season when the women achieved a 3.440 average GPA.
Trevecca was #18 in the 2001-2002 season with a 3.345 combined GPA, # 21 in 2004-2005 at 3.322, and # 22 during the 1998-1999 season with a 3.243 GPA.

The top team on this year’s listing had a GPA of 3.617. Trevecca, at the #22 position, had a GPA of 3.308. The last team in the listing had a GPA of 3.290.
