Nearly 200 ex-offenders attended this event which was held 11:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. PRI worked together with Trevecca Community Church to coordinate the job fair, which involved 29 corporate vendors such as UPS, Goodwill Industries, Tennessee Department of Transportation, etc. The event also featured 19 community sponsors who brought representatives offering information on housing, mental health, medical issues and alcohol and drug programs to attend.
PRI is a 28 year old 501(c) (3) non profit organization founded by a group of ministers who saw a need to serve people returning to society from prison. The agency is dedicated to the rehabilitation of Middle Tennessee’s prison population. Last year the small agency served over 4,000 people who were returning to the community providing employment training, job referrals and housing. They also provide referrals to community agencies for medical assistance, substance abuse and mental health treatment and counseling.
