Trevecca softball player wins national honor
Chelsea Bailey, a Trevecca sophomore, won the award for the NAIA. Last season she stole 50 bases in 68 games and helped Trevecca achieve the NAIA’s fifth-best stolen base per game average. Chelsea came in second at the plate, hitting .425, and helping the Trojans finish the year 59-11, an accomplishment that secured the team a berth in the NAIA National Tournament. Additionally, Chelsea scored 68 runs and finished second in doubles (16) and triples (three). Chelsea is a native of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
This award is presented annually by Adidas, the NFCA’s “Official Footwear.”
