Today’s chapel (Sept. 25) began Spiritual Deepening Week at Trevecca Nazarene University with the Rev. Norman Moore as speaker. In his opening message Moore used Luke’s account of Simon Peter’s betrayal of Christ to remind listeners that God is more interested in their futures than he is in their pasts. Using Christ’s responses to Peter’s failures as his example, Moore asserted that God’s attitude toward human failures is marked by “empathy, compassion, care, and concern.”
Moore will speak in morning chapel services on Wednesday and Thursday and in evening services Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
