Treveccaís softball team defeats three NCAA teams

Following a season of accomplishment during the previous school year, Trevecca's softball team showed that it still has more surprises in store for fans. On Saturday, Sept. 22, the women played a triple-header against NCAA Division-1 schools at The Worth Club K September Slam held at Hendersonville's (Tenn.) Drakes Creek Park.—and came away the big winner.

Trevecca, an NAIA Division-1 school, defeated three NCAA Division-1 teams. Trevecca beat Tennessee State University 8-2 with Stephanie Fisher getting the win. Then the Lady Trojans knocked off Western Kentucky University 4-2 with Brittiany Johnson picking up the win. Trevecca finished the day with a 3-2 win over Middle Tennessee State University 3-2. Johnson had her second victory of the day on the mound.

This kind of performance has Trevecca softball fans excited about the coming softball season.
