Tennessee District NYI Extravaganza on campus

The Tennessee District NYI is hosting its annual Extravaganza event, bringing 400 junior high and high school students to the campus of Trevecca Nazarene University this weekend.

The event, which kicks off Friday, Nov. 16, is designed for Church of the Nazarene youth in the Tennessee district who wish to present and practical practice for their talents.
The youth will compete in a number of different activities which are split into athletics and the arts; these contain categories that range from worship band competition to 3-on-3 basketball tournament.

The event will begin with registration and pizza at 5:30 p.m. Friday evening in the Boone Business Building Convocation Center and the opening service starts at 7:00 p.m. and will feature Dwight Gunter, pastor of Trevecca Community Church, as speaker. Orientation and competition begins at 8:00 p.m.  

Student award-winners will go on to represent the Tennessee District at TNT at TNU, an event also held at Trevecca in May of each year. This event brings Nazarene students from all over southeastern United States to compete.
