New men's chorale forming at Trevecca

A new music group is being formed at Trevecca—a male chorale for alumni and friends of Trevecca. For some time a group of men with Trevecca connections have talked about the “good old days” when they sang in choirs, quartets, and other musical groups at Trevecca and about how they would like to be in that kind of group again. They are making that dream a reality.

The Heritage Men’s Chorale will have its first rehearsal on Sunday, February 3, from 3 to 4:15 P.M. in sanctuary of Trevecca Community Church of the Nazarene. Participation in this group is open to all interested men.

Alumnus Jordy Conger will direct the group, and he and Jim Hendershot have already begun the search for choral arrangements.

Planners have lined up two performances this spring for the group, and interest is high. They hope that alumni will recruit friends to join the chorale.

If singing in a male chorale appeals to you, please express your interest to the Office of Alumni Services (615-248-1238/ by January 25, 2008, so that planners can provide adequate copies of music at the first rehearsal, February 3.
