Ceremonies honoring Millard Reed
On Thursday, March 6, 2008, Trevecca honored former president Millard Reed by officially naming the
Following chapel, a dedication service was held in Benson Auditorium, and the Millard Reed School of Religion was officially dedicated. Reed was also be the guest of honor at a luncheon. Many were there to support and offer kind words to Reed.
During Reed’s pastorate at First Church of the Nazarene and then later during his presidency, 1991-2005, he regularly taught classes in pastoral ministry in the School of Religion and worked tirelessly to provide financial assistance that would make college possible for young persons who were called to ministry.
In bestowing this honor, the Trevecca family recognizes the far-reaching accomplishments of Reed’s 49 years of active ministry.
